Following Joseph's example, David decided to take Mary and flee to Egypt around Christmas time. It was a great trip! Its winter there so the weather was like a perfect June day back in New York. We left Christmas day and had a cruise starting from Luxor. The first couple days we were actually in Luxor, visiting Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, etc. Then up the Nile to the Aswan Dam and out to Abu Simbel. Finally a sprint to the finish line, a day in Cairo on New Years Eve and a trip back to Paris New Years Day. But I know what everyone really wants, so here is the obligatory picture of us on a camel, in front of the Pyramids. We'll have a few follow up posts in the next few days.
Happy New Year to everyone!
PS. We took a lot of photos, but we hope to post the top 20 or so on 'The Facebook' sometime soon.
That's a fine looking camel you got yourselves there, One question- is the title of this blofg entry indicating something about the camel? "Flea" instead of "flee"? ;)
ReplyDeleteLyle its the old joke about the King James, Matthew 2:13 - "behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt" When read aloud it sounds like Joseph is supposed to take the pet flea to Egypt too.
ReplyDeleteHi Dave, Good one- never heard that one. Pretty good. In the same vein as the panda that "eats, shoots and and leaves".
ReplyDeletehaha, funny guys. really love the pic - and not only does mary look really great in green - but it her green looks nice next to dave's red hair! so cool. i'm quite envious :) hm,maybe you should also put pics here for your friends on the "The FB."
